$PEPE launched in April 2023 as a no-presale, no-tax, no-utility meme token on the Ethereum blockchain. It drew inspiration from Matt Furie’s cult-favourite cartoon character Pepe the Frog, a symbol of early internet meme culture and absurdist humour.
